DIGITALIZATION OF THE DRIVER'S JOB ECONOMY AND SIMPLICITY

Technological solution for accounting

In the process of creating of UTC-Software infrastructure, the question of organizing payment between the service and the client arose. At the software level, UTC-Software has developed a number of solutions which allow to keep records and automate the process of collecting and sorting data. The client app will allow to connect a non-cash or NFC payment interface.

Traditional methods of accepting payment by the driver are associated either with cash or a credit card. To receive payments by credit card, the driver needed to keep the payment terminal in the car, as well as a separate module of the online cash desk to transfer financial data to the servers. 

Initially, UTC-Software intended to use an infrastructure with such a topology.

In the process of technical implementation, we came to the conclusion of the irrationality of that approach.


And this is why:

Firstly, such a system would include devices: a cash register, a data storage drive and a terminal with a UTC-Driver app and a GPS taximeter. Consequently, in the driver’s cabin there would be three devices at once.

Secondly, the use of three devices for organizing payment would increase the initial cost of equipment by 6-7 times. In addition, most likely, the use of cash desks would necessitate a monthly payment for the service.

Low ergonomics and high cost are contrary to the philosophy of UTC-Software, in particular, to our stated principle of “digitalization for the sake of economy”. 

We began to search for an alternative and effective method. We found a way out in using a fundamentally new solution: a mobile All-in-One POS-terminal: 

  • Automatic virtual bank account
  • Consolidation of devices into a single account 
  • Funds movement control 24/7
  • The ability to print a check
  • Quick start of work, without unnecessary actions
  • Support of wireless communication and battery power


An example of such a device is my-POS Smart N5. The terminal located in the car cabin has all of the above options, and, moreover, is absolutely compact. It runs on battery power, which can be recharged at the end of a shift.


HOW DOES IT WORK? 

The smart terminal architecture from my-POS provides for the organization of all devices in a network with a single control center.


The connection logic is very simple:

  1. Purchase or rental of terminals;
  2. Registration of an account through the web-site;
  3. Each device contains a special data card, which at the same time is its ID in the network;
  4. Data from all devices is received and processed on a single server
  5. You just have to track them through your account and enter them into the taxi service database.


TO SUM UP:


No expensive payments.

No costly obligations.

No monthly or annual service charges. Only a one-time fee for the purchase of the device or monthly - for leasing.


We would like to note that although this solution seems mobile and progressive to us, this does not mean at all that we will oblige you to buy these devices. You yourself determine how it will be better for you to keep statistics and reporting. The UTC accounting interface is easy to manage, flexible enough and will be able to automate most routine operations for an accountant. You will always operate with accurate data and make optimal decisions based on them.
